Vintage 14K Rosy Gold Lab Created Purple Sapphire Ring. This simple ring features a single round faceted synthetic purple sapphire set in a rosy yellow gold raised gallery mounting. The stone in set in a hand made four prong mounting with pierced gallery. The size 7 1/2 ring weighs 4.3 grams and is in very good vintage condition. It fluoresces a strong red under UV light.
ERA: Mid Century, 1960s
METAL/MATERIAL: 12K Rosy Gold (tested) and 6.5 CT Purple Lab Created Sapphire (as estimated by measurement)
HALLMARK/HISTORY: Egyptian Touch Marks for Cairo 12K, although I can't determine the exact year
MEASUREMENTS: Head measures 13.2mm in diameter and the shank is 2 mm wide at the reverse. The top of the stone sits 8.5 mm above the finger.
RING SIZE: 7.5
WEIGHT: 4.3 grams
Condition: Very Good vintage condition, with no damage noted. Previously owned and worn.
