Vintage 18K Black Star Sapphire Bypass Ring. This dramatic 1960s brutalist bypass ring of 18K yellow gold is set with two oval cabochon natural black star sapphires with a combined total weight of approximately 3.5 carats. The sapphires have very diffuse six rayed stars and are each set in a six prong scalloped head with open back. The ring is quite heavy at 10.4 grams and feels lovely on the hand. It is a size 6 3/4and is in Very Good Vintage Condition, with minor wear consistent with age. It was a gift from a US service member serving abroad in the 1960s and was likely made in Thailand.

HALLMARKS/HISTORY: 18K and initials that appear to be E.S.B.
CONDITION: Very Good Vintage Condition, with very minor surface. Previously owned and worn.
MEASUREMENTS: The head measures 1 inch wide and the shank tapers to 3.7 mm at the reverse of the shank.
