Mexican Silver and Dyed Greed Calcite Parrot Brooch and Earring Set. I love this flock of parrots made in Mexico of 925 sterling silver and dyed green calcite. The brooch features three little parrots on a swing. They are made of stamped, embossed sterling silver and green calcite. The earrings are matching parrots. The brooch is finished with a roll over safety clasp. This set dates from the era before the eagle mark system was adopted, so pre-1948. I have not been able to identify the maker
s mark, but these are well-made and a great size to wear, as they are smaller than many Mexican silver pieces of the era.
