Antique Victorian Unger Brothers Folding Glove Button Hook. Made about 1880, this dainty piece has a beautiful scrolled filigree all-over design and the reverse has a blank cartouche framed with more scrolls. This sweet little hook was likely intended for wear on a chatelaine. It is 1 1/2 inches long closed and the entwined UB mark with Fine 925 Sterling appears on both the case back and the base of the hook itself.

HALLMARK/HISTORY: Sterling and entwined UB of Unger Brothers, as well as Fine 925 Sterling. Unger Bros operated in Newark, NJ from 1870 to 1910.
MEASUREMENTS: 3/8 inch wide, 1 1/2 inch long folded and 3 1/8 inch opened
TOTAL WEIGHT: 4.2 grams
CONDITION: Good Vintage Condition with lovely patina and minor bending to the case. Previously owned.
