Vintage Mikimoto Akoya Cultured Pearl 18 Inch Graduated Necklace. This Mid Century strand features cream colored cultured round pearls ranging in size from 3.8 mm to 7.7 mm in diameter. The strand is unknotted and is finished with a silver fish hook clasp with raised star design and single pearl accent. Very Good Vintage Condition with no damage noted aside from slight loosening of the stringing.
ERA: Retro, 1950s
METAL/MATERIAL: Cultured Akoya Pearls, Sterling Silver
HALLMARKS: M in in Clamshell Mark for Mikimoto, S for Sterling Silver on clasp. Kokichi Mikimoto was the creator cultured pearl production. Mikimoto pearls were first sold in the 1890s and have long been recognized as the premier cultured pearl brand.
SIZE/MEASUREMENTS: Necklace is 18" long and pearls range in age from 3.9 - 7.7 mm in diameter
CONDITION: Very Good Vintage Condition with no damage noted aside from slight loosening of the stringing. Previously owned and worn.
