Antique Lady's Gold Filled Necklace Chain for Watch, Lorgnette, Muff, or Locket. Made about 1900, this long rope link watch chain has a shield shaped slide, measuring 12.3mm X 8.7mm X 4.7mm. The slide charm is decorated with engraving and one natural seed pearl. The rope chain is 51 inches long (including the clasp) and is finished with a balloon clasp to hold a pendant watch, lorgnette, muff or locket. Watch chains like this are wonderful doubled or worn as bracelets wrapped around the wrist. In Very Good Vintage Condition, with minor surface wear. The slide seems to have its original cork, as it stays in fixed position.
