Mexican Modernist Sterling Silver Oversized Domed Hinged Bangle Bracelet by Bernice Goodspeed. Wow! This vintage sterling silver modernist bracelet is stunning. The domed, tapered hinged bangle is enormous and very heavy, weighing in at 103.7 grams. It is finished with a concealed box clasp with push button opening tab. Bernice Goodspeed was a true hyphenate, a student of Mexican arts and culture, archeological tour guide, writer, Taxco shop owner, and silversmith from the 1940s through her death in 1971. While many of her jewelry designs incorporate pre-Colombian and traditional designs, this bracelet is a bold mid-century modern departure. Marked with a B in circle, as well as Mexico 925. The bangle is in very good condition, with some surface scratches and patina and one crease dent.

Goodspeed was a true hyphenate, a student of Mexican arts and culture, archeological tour guide, writer, Taxco shop owner, and silversmith from the 1940s through her death in 1971.

CONDITION: Very Good Vintage Condition, with minor surface wear including one crease. Previously owned and worn.
