Vintage Schiaparelli Watermelon Rhinestone Earrings in Pewter Tone. Elsa Schiaparelli is known for her bold, unconventional designs and her love of hot pink, both of which are clearly visible in these gorgeous earrings. The bold colors of the faceted oval watermelon "tourmaline" rhinestones contrast beautifully against the pewter gray surface of the triangular, shield-shaped earrings. The headlight stones are set in open dog toothed bezels. Finished with clip backs that are clearly marked Schiaparelli in script. These earrings measure approximately 1 1/4 X 1 1/16 inch and are in Excellent Vintage Condition with no damage noted.

HALLMARKS/HISTORY: Schiaparelli in script on earring clips, as well as Pat. 2583958, which dates to 1952. Elsa Schiaparelli began her fashion design career by establishing the House of Schiaparelli in Paris in 1927. She managed the firm through the 1950s.
CONDITION: Excellent Vintage Condition with no damage noted. Previously owned and worn.
