Vintage Tefft Sterling Silver Cherub Brooch Rococo Pendant

Vintage Rococo Sterling Silver Brooch by Howard M. Tefft. Made in the 1970s or 1980s, this cast sterling silver brooch and pendant has an openwork shield shape, with elements including a trio of plumes with tulips in the center of the piece, framed by scrolls, scallop flourishes, flower accents, and crowned by a putti or cherub head. The piece is either a reproduction of an antique piece, or an ornate fantasy piece. The piece is finished with a pin stem with rollover safety clasp and an attached round bale so it can be worn as a necklace pendant.
ERA: Retro, 1980s
METAL/MATERIALS: Sterling Silver
HALLMARKS/HISTORY: HMT for H. M. Tefft, Sterling. I can find little information on Tefft, but this trademark was registered from 1963-1987.
SIZE/MEASUREMENT: Brooch measures 2 1/2" X 2"
WEIGHT: 29.1 grams
CONDITION: In Very Good Vintage Condition, with no damage noted.
