Vintage Diamond Halo Engagement Ring. A round brilliant cut diamond is set with four prongs and is surrounded by eleven single cut diamonds that are channel set, with all stones in a square head atop a raised gallery with keyhole cutouts. The head is made of 14K white gold and the shank is 14K yellow gold. The ring was originally made about 1950, and had a Finger Fit expandable hinged ring shank added in the late 1970s. The shank opens to allow the ring to slide over a larger knuckle and then lock securely in place.
The total weight of the stones is approximately .30 CT total weight. Very Good Vintage Condition, with very minor surface wear and modification of the shank as noted.
