Hard-to-Find Vintage Trifari Clip-Mates Dress Clip Convertible Brooch. What a beautiful piece! Small round clear rhinestones cover a curvaceous form with pierce work favored in the Art Deco era. Patented by Alfred Philippe in 1936, this Art Deco piece converts from a pair of dress clips to a single brooch by use of the special connecting pin mechanism. The connecting frame of the pins is finished with a roll over safety clasp. In Very Good Vintage Condition, with all moving parts functioning perfectly. And with one rhinestone missing in the center and minor darkening to a few stones.
ERA: Art Deco, 1936 or later
METAL/MATERIALS: Clear Foil Backed Rhinestones, Silver Tone Base Metal
HALLMARKS/HISTORY: Trifari on reverse of both clips, with Clip-Mates on one and 2050804, the patent number
CONDITION: Very good vintage condition, with one rhinestone missing in the center and minor darkening to a few stones
