Vintage Signed Weiss Clear Rhinestone Brooch. In 1960, Albert Weiss advertised brooches from the "India Inspired" collection in Vogue magazine. Boulder styled glass stones like the one in the center of this brooch figure prominently in this collection. The play of colors and shapes of rhinestones in this pin are striking against a rich gold mounting. The center boulder stone is a rich rootbeer color and is unfoiled and set with an open back. All other stones are foil backed and set in closed back mountings. Olive, topaz, bright orange and aurora borealis coated stones form the remainder of the stones. Finished with a roll over clasp, the brooch is in Very Good Vintage Condition, with only very minor surface wear. Marked Weiss in block letters on reverse.
